I became 'The Altoid Guy' through the act of offering classmates Altoids at the start of every class. I found it a fun way to get to know my peers and people reacted with enthusiasm towards the gesture. But I could swear I’ve also heard several people I’ve worked with say "working with him is like a breath of fresh air." So whichever origin you want to believe, I’m fine with it.
